Graduate of Fremont High School;
studied business and accounting by correspondence courses while traveling
on concert tours;
Attended University at Nebraska Omaha,
Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program maintaining a 4.0 average,
and prior to graduating, transferred to special admittance program to Creighton
Law School for those without undergraduate degrees, conditioned on: adequate
law school admission test (LSAT) scores, submitting written essay with
reasons the candidate should be admitted to Law School, and work experience
deemed relevant and adequate for Law School admission;
At Creighton University Law School:
Maintained a 4.0 average in Corporations and Contract Law, Winner of American
Society of Composers and Publishers: Nathan Burkan Award. Placed second
in national moot court competition representing Creighton Law School at
the National Moot Court Competition, after placing 1st in school, State
and Regional competitions.
AFTER LAW SCHOOL
One year as in house counsel at a
recording & publishing company, working directly with the Dick Clark
Agency.
One year at Qualley & Associates
representing Grand Laboratories (Vaccine Manufacturer)
Third year in practice, began private
practice and won first jury trial, venued in the Southern Federal District
of South Dakota, Stange v. Norden Laboratories, setting federal precedent
representing South Dakota feedlot operator, Donald Stange, in first successful
claim based on defective design of a vaccine, reported by the Associated
Press, and published in the Federal Supplement.
Certified Trial Attorney by the National
Institute of Trial Advocacy
Co-Counsel and consultant with several
other firms and prosecuted vaccine cases similar to Stange in a dozen states,
jurisdictions including the state of Minnesota, and the Eight, Ninth, and
Tenth Federal District Courts, Courts of Appeals, and filed Writ of Certiorari,
to US Supreme Court.
Successful prosecution of other medical
liability cases including vaccines, inhalers, including the pedicel screw,
multi-district litigation, as a member of the Plaintiffs' Legal Committee
(the PLC) (these cases were referred to as the "Steffe Plates Cases" on
CBS' "60 Minutes")/ The PLC represented approximately 15,000 Plaintiffs,
and obtained a settlement exceeding $100,000,000.00.
Prosecuted claims regarding medical
malpractice, pharmacist malpractice, veterinary malpractice, 19 of the
Fremont Hepatitis cases, wrongful death cases, personal injury cases, motor
vehicle accident cases, criminal cases, contested probates and numerous
other types of litigation.

Trained with Stacy Wolfe (in-house
counsel for Metropolitan Life and New England Insurance Company, faculty
at Boston University and adjunct professor of Harvard University) and trained
at National Law Institute and American Bar Association's Sophisticated
Estate Planning Section.

Community Foundation Legal Committee.
Clients have included State of Nebraska
regarding land condemnations for road expansions and guardianships for
Department of Adult Protective Services.
